Peace, Love, and Doves!

                                       Peace, Love, and Doves!

Bob Dylan’s ‘Blown in the Wind’, is the song that I chose. When I first listened to this song I instantly thought of the old country vibe that it has.  I chose this song because the lyrics really stood out to this song is a form of wisdom, and makes you question what life experiences make you a man.

A white dove was brought up into the song which is a symbol of peace. I believe this song Bob Dylan made wanted us to feel the peace to the song, but also wanted us to hear the direct message which was there is no answer to freedom, the answer is in the wind. Have you ever heard of the phrase the sky is the limit? Well Bob Dylan uses the sky as a source of freedom letting you leave the rest to your imagination.

I do believe that Bob Dylan’s song ‘Blown in the Wind’ lets us really think about when is their going to be freedom? Or when is their going to be no war? If you want me to be honest I totally pictured Bob Dylan as some sort of hippie artist who praises, and protests freedom, and equality. He seems like a man who is ‘chill’, and ‘laid back’, but this song made me understand a different perspective on Bob Dylan he was a white man protesting for freedom for African Americans. His song ‘Blown in the Wind’ uses terms that signify war, and peace.

I really like this song and I do believe that this song can impact today as well with many different protests going on, and different types of inequality I feel like people should still be able to listen to this song and embrace Bob Dylan’s message. After all the sky is the limit.
