This is a blog devoted to the ideas and analysis of BSU students as they discover, listen, read, analyze the works of various musical artists, across various genres, whose music centers on political, social, and/or cultural issues. The ultimate goal of the class, other than focusing on the students' writing skills, is to allow them the space and time to express their own opinions and ideas, to expose them to music that can and has made significant change.

Movement in music
This week class discussion about music and musicians who use the music to created awareness of injustice to black people whether through police brutality or unequally was my favorite because I find it amazing that people can find a voice when the odds are against them. "fuck the people" by Ice cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Eazy E, Yella is a very big song because it was the first to speak out against the police by black men. though today it since to be very violent towards the necessary police force of today at that time it was the only way to get the message out to the world. other artists included the one that was presented in class also did the same all in the name of freedom. This shows how much power music has and what part have it play in setting the world leaders straight why exposing to the public the real problems of society.
