All the answers are Blowin’ in the wind

Within my blog post from last week I decided to write about Bob Dylan's song Blowin’ in the wind. And it took me a lot of time to try and listen to more of his music but I honestly could not bring myself to do it, due to the fact that I lost so much interest. So, this was also the song I chose when we had to pick a song from him. At this point I could tell you almost everything you need to know about it.
In 1963 Bob Dylan released a song called “Blowin in the wind”. The biggest part of the song basically talks about peace and freedom. The main point of the song brought up many questions that were being asked around this time that were not getting answered. When something gets brought up for change it just “blows away in the wind”. All of the answers are really up in the air.
The metaphor to me seemed that all of the answers are lying all around us, but, nobody is able to see or grasp them, just like the wind that is surrounding us. The song was meant to give off anti-war vibes, which it was successful in doing.  “Yes, ‘n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows that too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind” I feel as though people at the time really did not know the answer to that particular question. Whenever war would stop all knew another was coming. These people were looking for answers but were unsuccessful in finding them.
Within class this week I realized how much influential music there really is spreading messages all around the world. I was also able to make the connection that I cannot stand folk music, Bob Dylan in particular.
