Where ever you go, people are
plugged up. Whether they’re wearing the Apple AirPods or Beats, people love
listening to music. For many it helps people to concentrate, and get things
done. Music can also be used to help pump people up before a game, or to help
with a breakup. Music is universal and is one of the few ways that connects
everyone.
Music is very powerful and
sometimes we forget how powerful it is. It brings together people from all over
the world from different backgrounds. Music is the one thing that does not
change. If you look back at the music you listened in middle school you’d notice
that if any of those songs played at a party, you would still know those songs
word for word. Music is something that sticks with you. It helps you get
through tough seasons and helps you rejoice in the greatest moments in your
life. One of the coolest things about music is that there is a song for every
single mood you will or have felt. And the other cool part is that music stays.
It will never go away. You will always be able to look up your favorite song
that came out in 2012.
Now like any middle school girl I was
a huge fan of Big Time Rush. And I could tell you how they basically saved my
life, however that’s not the point. Music connects you with other people that
you would have never thought you would meet. And from meeting these people you
will soon to learn that those same people have gone through what you have. Being
a fan of different artists have opened the door for me to meet people and make
friendships. You will all have the same dream of meeting that artist or band, or
going to a concert. Music brings people together.
Not only is it powerful in bringing people together and being relatable, music is an outlet for others to speak their mind. Art itself is powerful and music is art. In this class we have started to talk about music with a message behind them. We also talked about if that was right or wrong. In our day and age with social media and so much going on around our country and world, that people tend to forget that these musicians are real people too. They are realizing their power and using it to get a message across. These musicians and artists have rights like the rest if us and have the use free speech. They are human beings who want to bring attention to cause they care about. When people complain, it just shows how powerful music is.
So now go and put your headphones
in and blast your favorite song. Go to concerts and make friends. Know how powerful
music can be and then use that power. Use it to kill of the bad vibes and use
it to celebrate. Like Wild Cherry sung, “Play that funky music!”
I really enjoyed your point about Big Time Rush and related a lot to that. I enjoy the points you made about how music brings people together and how powerful it is. Really good job!
ReplyDeleteI love the last paragraph! Such a fun and light hearted way to sum up your message.
